Welcome to the Updates! This page was created simply to inform those of you who Are Not joining the club what is happening at DragonRose. New Clutches, Down Time, Why your Dragons aren't being updated.. etc. I will keep up to 5 days worth of comments (probably won't be every day) on this page, and then I will archive the rest.

My Life (real life) At the Moment:
OK, before I get on to the Updates and such, here's a little run down on what's been going on in the Life of Lanine (Aka: Shadow Rose) and why it's been so long since anything has been updated. First of all, YES I'm still getting your emails. (*chuckle*) I read each and every one, and try to convince myself to respond when the need arises. Secondly, NO dag nabbit!... NO!!! DragonRose is NOT closing! How dare you even THINK such a thing! (*harumph*). Ok.. Back to life. Well, that's pretty much the problem here. Life got in the way. I have no idea what you know and what you don't know, so we'll start at the beginning of the year. I got a new job on December 26th that requires a lot more of my time, since I'm now a supervisor. It's a regular thing when I work 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, and because of that my free time has dissapeared. I generally get home at 9:00 in the morning (If I get out after only 10 hours), pass out about an hour or two later (after I wind down, and find some food) and then wake up at about 9:00 at night to start it all over again. My First day off is spent sleeping (quite literally) and my second day off is spent running all of the errands I ignored during the rest of the week. For those of you who don't know, I work a Graveyard shift (11:00pm through 7:00am) and generally sleep away my days, so getting to the store before 8:00 at night is a little complicated :).
To add on top of that, I recently found out that I'm Pregnant (about 13 weeks right now) and will be having my *own* clutch in March. Aaahh... how fun. Too bad Genetics don't work as easily in humans as it does in DR dragons ;). Other than the obvious joy that Griffin (my husband) and I are feeling towards this event, it also tires me out immensly. By the time I get home, my head hits the pillow and I'm out for 8 hours straight. Wheee. LOL
Griffin and I are planning on finally signing the marraige liscence on October 31st of this year, followed by a grand Halloween/Wedding Party at our new apartment. It'll be SO fun :D Since we can't afford a real wedding right now, this should work quite nicely. :)
Speaking of Halloween! I HAVE Created a Limited Edition Dragon for Halloween this year. It will be up on the Limited Edition page on October 1st, so make sure you go adopt it! :)
DragonRose Dragons:
Ok, to what you really care about: What's going on with DragonRose? Well, to answer that question.. a lot. I'm sure some of you are going to hate me for ever if you continue to read what I'm planning, but read on you must. DragonRose is NOT Shutting down.. but we ARE changing. Drastically. DragonRose Dragons will still grow up, bond, breed, and Role Play in DRAC, but they will no longer be custom designed. Because of this, sub breeds are dissapearing completely, as well as, possibly, Custom Dragons. I am going to make about 13 different poses for each Breed, and each Stage in life within that Breed (not counting Eggs) that I will randomly choose depending on the personality of the Dragon adopted. (That totals to about 39 different body types per breed, from "Baby" to "Adult"). I'm also going to add several "Special" Breeds into the mix, to make up for ditching the Sub Breeds. I'm also going to stop handing out Night Mares and Day Mares. I may do something else with them, though I'm not quite sure what yet. As I'm sure you've already figured out by now... Dragons always come before Mares, so they may have to wait a little while for their re-vamp. None of these adoptions will be Click and Takes, however. Everything will still be done through email, forms, and real adoption.
Sadly, because I'm removing the need for them, it looks like I'm going to have to Retire my Genetics as well. That was always my favorite part of DragonRose, but with no subbreeds to create, and no new art, there is no need. (*cry*)
Have I scared my loyal adopters away yet? I sure hope not, that wasn't the intention. I'm trying to keep DragonRose *alive*, and the only way I can accomplish that is by simplifying my part in the adoption process.
Well, there's the basic run down. More will come soon, I'm sure... I just have to finish what I'm working on now. Updates are on their way... just be a little patient with me, and they will get there. I promise. :) (*hugs*) to all!

Sorry:
I'd just like to appologize right now for not updating Dragons while I was on vacation last week. Today, I got a chance to kind of work on the webpage.. but that was about it.. but hey... it's only 1 in the morning.. maybe I'll get around to it between doing laundry and trying to keep my lunch down. I got sick on the 26th, and my stomach still isn't quite up to par. So maybe that will give me an excuse to loung on my computer and crack out several hundred dragons. :) We shall see though. I also want to appologize to everyone for not being online recently. I've been busy, tired, and working on a few others things on my computer (including work) instead of chatting. (*hugs*) I love you all though, and hopefully dragons will get updated soon. :)
Abandoned:
To everyone who is trying to adopt a Dragon Egg, or an Abandoned Dragon... stay with me. LOL. Most of the emails are on my old computer, and I am having troubles getting everything moved over without having problems with my current emails. I'm working on it... it just might take a little while. lol.
Personal Update:
Well, life has been fun recently. I've been working my butt off at work. Not only do I have to work a full 8 hours every night, 5 days a week... but I've also recently had to attend 3 hour meetings every wednesday for three weeks. We have a new "Pilot program" going on in the Hotel. We are 1 out of 3 Holiday Inns chosen for this program, out of the Entire Nation. Heady Stuff. It's even been affecting my GM, since she's been coming out of her office and being more social recently. (unlike the past, when she would only leave her office when there was a meeting, or she was going home.) For those of you who didn't know, I also took a 5 day weekend over my birthday (last weekend) since I was starting to forget things that I'd been doing by rote for the past year. I thought it was about time to take a vacation, and so I lounged about the house and did absolutely nothing but read, drink Mt. Dew, play video games, visit my parents and grandmother (of whom was in town for other reasons than my birthday.. see below), and enjoy the simple presence of Griffin. It was one of the longest spans of doing nothing I've had in over 2 years. It was much needed... lemme tell ya. Downside: My house is an absolute mess. I havn't done laundry in two weeks, and Phil hasn't been feeling well, so the Dishes havn't gotten done either. Oh... And we got a new kitten.
The Kitten is a real Terror. Full name: Sin Da Err Underfoot. Nickname: Cinder, Sin, Err, Spaz. That last nickname should be a hint. He hasn't quite learned how to "play nice".... so when those teeth come into contact with your hand, you'd best be expecting a wound of some kind. I recently bought him a stuffed cat, so hopefully he will turn to killing that instead of ripping US to shreds. Doubt it, though. However, the little rat is growing like a weed. We've only had him, like 3 weeks, and already he's more than doubled in size. I'll put pictures up as soon as I can, so that all of you can see this little terror who has come into our lives.
On Another note, my Mother and Grandmother recently went into the doctors for two seperate things. Mom's will be taking a little longer, concerning a lump... but nothing too serious right now. She goes in again next week someone, to find out if it's life threatening. Grandma on the other hand had a surgery go bad on her foot several months ago, of which never healed. Mom finally convinced her to get a second opinion. So, Grandma came up here during my birthday, so she could go see mom's doctor. The doctor decided her foot was pretty messed up so they were going in to do surgery again. She was admitted to the hospital on wednesday, and out of surgery within an hour. They took several cultures of the bone in her big toe to be tested so they could find out which kind of antibiotic they are going to hook into her (via an IV in the chest) for the next 6 weeks at least. She got into her room, and was feeling pretty good... but asked my mom to bring her some more snacks, since she'd eaten all her candy already. Then next day, I get another email from my mom telling me that they had found some "not so good" growth out of those cultures they took from Grandma's foot. Including the same cells that make up Tuberculosis. The doctors say she *doesn't* have tuberculosis, but they are running a chest x-ray and several other tests as well, just to be sure. Then, she has to go in for yet another surgery on her foot this weekend. They are going to run some more tests, clean out the infection some more, and close the opening on her wound to 1cm instead of 3 cm. Lots of fun... so.. everyone's thoughts and prayers go with them.
I had some fun last night though. My neighbor went psycho! I was sitting in my living room, before work, playing with Cinder, when I heard some guy screaming next door, and I heard what sounded like bodies hitting my living room wall. In fact, they were hitting my wall so hard, that my Purple Agate Chimes (which are hanging from the ceiling, about 1 foot away from the wall) were ringing together. Then I heard this guy walk outside, and start screaming out front. Sooo.. me being the curious one.. I walk over to my front window, and prop open the window about an inch, to see if I can hear what this guy is saying. Nothing more than a couple of curse words can be understood, but I hear one male screaming voice, and another male calming voice.... I think I hear a female.. but I'm not sure. The guy goes back inside, and continues to yell. Things get quiet for a couple minutes. Then the fan falls out of my kitchen window, almost killing may kitten. So I run over, and while I'm trying to put the fan back in the window... I hear glass shattering out front. I glance up front to see if it's MY window that had just gotten broken in... but nothing looks wrong out in the living room. I look back out my kitchen window, and see some guy without a shirt running by, down the stairs!! My only reaction: Put down fan, close window, lock window, close blinds. Walk up front, close window, lock window, close blinds. Peek outside. LOL I look outside, and I see a huge hole in the next door neighbor's window (untempered glass), and blood dripping all the way from in front of their window, in front of my apartment, around the corner, down the stairs, and out onto the lawn somewhere. A LOT of blood in fact. Wow. I call Griffin, of whom calls the cops. Griffin comes home, and sees guy bleeding on different neighbor's bench, drenching a towel on his arm in blood, talking on the phone. Wow. Cops come, talk to me, talk to everyone else...... suddenly it's a very quiet night. Griffin walks me out to my car when I have to go to work, and it's a slow night from there on. Griffin took pictures of the blood on the walkway outside this morning, which is good since they washed down the walkway today. I love my neighbors... lemme tell ya. :)
Anyway... the point of this entire thing, is to tell you how busy I've been... and how stressed. I'm sorry I've been taking so long on these (over a year has gotta be annoying), but alas.. life comes first. I love all of you dearly, and hope you don't forget about me while I try to make time for fun. :)

Update:
Well, after another hard day of editing, and the page should be opening soon! (within the Week, I think) As soon as you guys figure out that nice little riddle with the Missing Goddess, that is. >:) Hope everyone had a great weekend! Off to work for me! (*grins*)

General Webpage Wellbeing and Update:
Greetings everyone, and welcome to the New Webpage! I hope you guys all enjoy the new Frames look, because it's much Nicer Looking than before. Also.. I now have a Paid Webpage and Domain Name for the next two years! (whoohoo!) Of course... the Updates on the Dragons still need to be stepped up a bit... but at least I have this much. :D
Updates:
Since I brought them up. (*cringe*) Ok.. Bottom line. I'm busy, and when I get home from work, I'm just too plain lazy and tired to work on Updates. I know a lot of you have been offering your Help, and I THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! BUT... Alas... I have to do this part. However... Phillip is out of school (yet another reason I've been neglecting the Dragons) Until January 8th... so maybe I'll have some time to work on the Dragons before then. :) However.. don't worry. DRAGONROSE IS ***NOT*** Shutting Down. It's just Slow. :D
Jobs:
Looking to Help out a little bit with DragonRose?? Looking to Volunteer your time over the Internet? Great! Stop in to our Job Desk, and See if their are any Jobs Available that you would like to help with!!
Security:
If you haven't noticed... I've stepped up Security... a LOT. I'm sick and tired of people not reading the rules. Ok.. I understand that some of you are faithful adopters and hate going through all of these stupid hoops... but I'm working on that too. I'm trying to find a way to expand my Password Protect program to include Members... so all you guys have to do, is "Log in" and go on with life. That may take a little while though... since I'm NOT a Programmer. Hehe :)
Store:
I will be opening up a Store here soon! Of course, in order to buy anything from the Store, you will have to send a Check via Snail-Mail... or send me a Credit Card Payment online... but it shouldn't be too Hard. PLEASE... if you are under the Age of 16, and don't have a Check Book or Credit Card, ask your parents for Permission, and let THEM help you!
We will have a LOT of things in the store!! Custom Designed T-shirts (Anything you Want... we can do it), Stickers, Magnets, Matted Prints, etc etc! The list goes on and on. Make sure you check it out when we get it up. :)
Stuffed Dragons??:
DragonRose Adoptions is teaming up with Kerri's Kreations! Kerri creates Custom "Child Proof" Stuffed Animals! Her specialities are Dragons and Equines, and thus we decided to get together to see what we could do. How would you like to have your Favorite Dragon in the form of a Stuffed Animal that you can take anywhere with you? Or how about your Favorite Night or Day Mare? Coming Soon!
Suggestions!:
Remember! If you have ANY Suggestions or Comments for me, PLEASE feel Free to Write me an Email! I don't bite (at least not too often, or too hard :D), and My Attacks Cats won't do anything other than chase the Mouse around... so feel free to Write. :)
Thanks for reading the updates! It would really be easier on all of us if you joined the group.... but some people just don't do that thing. So it's your own loss. :)
